Is it possible to create custom texture for paper and use ??
Hi I'm a novice painter being using Corel Painter since 2019, about two months ago I came across this video and I gave it a try, as soon as I tried it I paid for it, it's so much easier to paint though I have a lot to learn, Rebelle has given me the simple ways of creating art, the rendering comes naturally like if I being drawing for a long time, thank you.
I have had Rebelle 5 for several years, only dabbling in it a couple of times, I guess, because I haven't been trained as a traditional oil or canvas painter, although, I was lucky enough to receive private art lessons from New York/Aspen, Colorado-based artist Nancy Lundy (Lundey? Lunde?) back in the very early 1970s who taught art in all of the mediums ... oil, acrylic, watercolor, oil pastel, pastel, charcoal, sepia pencil, pen and ink, pencil, and pretty much everything and everything that could and can be applied to canvas, particle board, wood, etc. I think that what has held me back from diving in full force into using Rebelle 5 (I'll probably end up purchasing Rebelle 7 at some point) is the fact that I was not trained in a digital world, but in an analog one. That being said, I certainly got so used to using Adobe Photoshop over the last 28 years, that it was difficult for me to try and switch to another software program, seeing as how the interfaces tend to vary slightly, or sometimes a lot, and I have auditory dyslexia, so software interfaces tend to already be confusing, so I would just avoid them, rather than force myself to learn each one. Anyway, I love what I could potentially do in Rebelle, but just haven't gotten myself past the differences in its interface compared to the software that I've been using (Clip Studio Paint ... a.k.a. Manga Studio Pro EX 5) which I have grown to really love. But, I can't get all of the same effects in CSP that I can get in Rebelle. What I wanted to know, since I came here to figure out how to record my projects in my Rebelle 5 program, is that I noticed that not all of the selections in the recording window were or are available to me to select from. Does that have something to do with the fact that I had already used the default recording setting when I first created my canvas and it asked me if I wanted to record my work? Thank you for making this tutorial. It's greatly appreciated.
Thank you for this tutorial. I am just starting to learn all this. My mind is blown.
응원합니다. 👍
Nice
Amazingly realistic, such a touch of real paint! 👍👍👍
Please, add 1) a pattern scaling option 2) various tile pattern options which surface pattern designers can use (full drop, half drop, brick drop, scale, diamond, trellis, stripes, diagonal, ogee, scallop...), thanks.
Why can't I get the metallics to look like metallics as in your demo. I have a metallic layer chosen but the strokes look just like ordinary paint. What am I doing wrong?
I can't work out how to get several panels to show on the screen at same time..as in Layers and Colors for example. Similar to what your demo is showing. I should add I am brand new to Rebelle so my question may have a very obvious solution :)
i really look forward to trying it on an ipad one day, would be the best of two worlds
I m new here, 2days ago i know about rabelle.but i don't know how to open this software?
Can this be used to make renaissance or classical paintings
can we get even thicker brushes? like palette knife drawings, 3D esc, popping from the canvas... i really truly love the textures of the acrylic paints and i think even thicker paint brushes would be amazing!
the term is called impasto! i also would really like this feature in rebelle
Every print will shift colours cause the rgb and prints need cmyk
practicing personhood is a great painting!
I genuinely think you are one of the worst educators for software, and your examples are terrible. If I were making a purchasing decision based on your presentation of the software I would never buy it.
I know this is a year old or more. I have R7 pro and wondered why in mixing pallet I wasn't getting green when mixing yellow and blue. I didn't have pigments on, now I know. Thank you
Rebelle is the best and nobody knows about it. You guys need some kind of American director of marketing or something... My heartfelt congratulations to all involved, this is magic!
That s an excellent tutorial and extremely well explained and narrated. Very nice!
Great!
Sadly, I have not found ANY solution to making a file export directly to photoshop as indicated in the video. I've checked the forum nobody seems to have a solution. In fact, many people have complained of this as an issue and still no resolution. Perhaps this can be explored and resolved in a future update, unless there's something I'm missing.
Why is pen pressure for size always greyed out (locked)? Thanks...Ah, I got it. We reset it on the graph.
Is there a list of all these somewhere?
Yes! You can find all shortcuts listed at the end of each Manual: www.escapemotions.com/products/rebelle/support.php
Incredible! Thanks for this video. We can clearly see the power of that software. It’s really a new generation of digital painting and drawing.
can you change angle of reflective ray tracing? like if you want it from bottom
This is not possible at the moment.
Is there a plan to launch rebelle on iPad ? This software seems to be so amazing.
hello, I think quick fill brushes for color pencils-charcoal (multiple strokes) are missing in the default brush collection to make is great also for charcoal could we get acetone effects brushes?
I just discovered this program today. Holy crap, this is absolutely intriguing! Might have to give this one a go.
Great overview. May I ask what palette you use
Justice uses Pigments and Metallics color sets included in the Color Set Library.
It would be great if you release a tablet version
Hi can you please share the specs of your workstation? My watercolor simulation speed is nowhere near what is showcased in this video
You can ajust the speed of watercolors in the visual settings. The feature is called "Diffusion speed" and can be found in the watercolor section of the visual settings tab. Have fun 😄
@@john-lee5183 nah man, it is dependent on your PC specs, even at the highest speed if your PC doesn't have good specs it will still be slow
You can turn off nano pixels then, Justice told us that in a group painting session. Nano pixels require a significant amount of ram and CPU power. I for example turn it off when painting on the 7gig ram laptop in school. Otherwise I can also suggest lowering the dpi of your painting, making the canvas smaler, paint less at any given moment. This all contributes to how fast you can render the painting
Still No improvement on Fill/bucket tool 😠
We introduced a new fill tool in version 7 - there are options to fill with various patterns and gradients. If you have further suggestions on improving this tool, please let us know via email or on our forum. We would love to hear from you!
it looks like they are going to make some really cool new tools available. I'm especially excited about the path tool - it seems like it could be really useful for creating more complex compositions. we'll have to see how it all pans out, but so far it looks pretty good!
Rebelle 7 was released back in December, 2023 so all this is already available for you to enjoy!
When iPad release? :)
Two hours? ^^ It would take me about 3 months and it would not look that good 😂 Love your vids!
This is by far the best explanation for those paint modes! Thank you for that! Instantly subscribed :) Escape Motions did a great job on that software
Seems to be some notable differences between PC and Mac preferences panels. Namely, the tablet settings.
Can you apply paper texture on to a gradient fill?
Did you use Mixbox licence for the paint mode?
Yes, we worked very closely with the Mixbox team on this! Learn more about our collaboration: www.escapemotions.com/blog/rebelle-5-meet-color-pigments
More, please
Super helpful - thank you! Still trying to wrap my head around the difference between textures and structures.
does this work on ipad?
So it looks practically just like the photo. Highly skilled Rebelle artist! But where's the creativity? Why do people on UA-cam, especially from North America (no offense) mistake technical skill for artistry? this is not art, it's crafts.
There is NO MUSIC. I really appreciate that. Thank you.
I realize that you are sick of hearing this, but now that Apple has just announced the iPad with the M4 processor and a FANTASTIC pencil that has been designed for artists with full range motion, and EVEN a new matt screen that should improved the feel of painting on the machine, I have got to be a nag and ask you when you will have a port on this brilliant new machine. Bottom line, Wacom, for all it’s brilliance on pressure and full gesture range, has always been clumsy. Even the beautiful Cintiq tethers the artist to a desk. I have been nagging for years that Painter port to iPAD .. they barely just got compatible with Mx on MAC. Escape Motions has a chance to become the leader for digital art…. Get on the new iPAD!
Any plans to release this on the iPad? Would love to use Rebelle on the go.
I used to use Painter to do large abstracts of ribbon shapes (fabric in the wind looking images). The brush size was always a limitation. My current standard size work is 96x84 requiring around 19k x 16x pixels. Does Nano-Pixel only upsample to a paper or canvas texture? Or can it upsample the original brush on a smooth surface?
Also, thanks for these, they are inspiring!
